Pilates
What is Pilates?
Pilates is a method of exercise and physical movement invented by Joseph Pilates from 1914 onward, and is designed to stretch, strengthen, enhance muscular and cardiovascular endurance, and improve balance. No matter the equipment used, Pilates sessions focus on the principles of alignment, breath, concentration, control, centering, flow and precision in a full-body 50-minute workout. Additionally, Pilates is a body-mind-spirit practice that enhances all of our activities of daily life so we can enjoy life with "zest and pleasure" (Joe's own words).
